Bursting dos

• Always burst fireworks outdoors in an open area — never indoors.
• Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby, and one firecracker at a time.
• Keep a safe distance after lighting, and never lean over a lit cracker.
• Let children burst under adult supervision, one at a time.
• Do not relight a dud — pour water on it.
• Wear well-fitting cotton clothing. Avoid loose or synthetic clothing.

Storage

Store crackers in a dry, cool place away from sources of fire or heat. Don't keep them near gas cylinders or electric boards.

Follow local rules

In Telangana, fireworks are permitted for a fixed window (typically 8 PM – 10 PM) on Deepavali and other allowed days. Respect the rules and your neighbours.
